Terms and Conditions

Welcome to the digital home of Lakewood Five. We’re glad you’re here. By accessing or using this website, you agree to be bound by the following terms. If you don’t agree, we kindly ask you to step away from the bar (and this site).

1. Legal Drinking Age

You must be at least 21 years of age to access this site. By entering, you affirm that you are of legal drinking age in the jurisdiction from which you are accessing the site. If we discover that a minor has provided us with information or is accessing the site, we reserve the right to terminate access immediately. Please drink Lakewood Five responsibly.

2. Intellectual Property

Everything you see here—the logos, the "Lakewood Five" name, the cocktail photography, and the secret-ish botanical blends mentioned—is the property of Lakewood Brewing & Distilling Co. * Don't steal our stuff: You may not use, reproduce, or "borrow" our branding for commercial purposes without our written "go-ahead."

  • Share the love: You are encouraged to share our recipes on social media, provided you credit Lakewood Five.

3. User Conduct

We’re all friends here. When using our site or interacting with our social channels, you agree not to:

  • Post anything illegal, offensive, or defamatory.
  • Attempt to "hack" the site or distribute viruses.
  • Spam our contact forms with nonsense.

4. Products & Sales

While we love showing off our gin, the sale of Lakewood Five spirits is subject to local and state laws.

  • Direct Shipping: Availability of shipping depends on your location and current Texas/Federal statutes.
  • Accuracy: We try to keep our bottle descriptions and pricing accurate, but we’re human. We reserve the right to correct errors or cancel orders if a "typo" results in a $1 bottle of gin (nice try, though).

5. Third-Party Links

Our site might link to cool bars, bottle shops, or partners. We don’t control their websites, so we aren’t responsible for their content or their privacy practices. Use common sense when clicking.

6. Limitation of Liability

Lakewood Five (and our parent company, Lakewood Brewing) provides this site "as is." We aren't liable for any damages that result from your use of the site. Specifically, we aren't responsible for:

  • Technical glitches or downtime.
  • Bad decisions made after consuming our products (seriously, drink responsibly).

7. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Great State of Texas. Any disputes will be handled in the courts of Dallas County, where the gin is cold and the hospitality is warm.

8. Changes to These Terms

We might update these terms as we grow. When we do, we’ll update the "Last Updated" date at the top. Your continued use of the site means you’re cool with the changes.

Return and Refund Policy

The Spirits Rule (Alcohol Returns)

Per Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) regulations, we cannot accept returns on any alcoholic products once they have left our facility or the retail point of sale.

  • All Sales are Final: This applies to all bottles of Lakewood Five Gin.
  • The Exception: If you receive a bottle that is physically damaged (e.g., a broken seal or cracked glass) or defective (e.g., a "corked" or tainted batch), please contact us within 48 hours of receipt. We will work with you to provide a replacement or a credit where legally permitted.

The Swag Rule (Merchandise & Apparel)

For non-alcoholic items—like that Lakewood Five t-shirt or those custom highball glasses—we offer a 30-day return policy.

  • Condition: Items must be unworn, unwashed, and in their original packaging. If it smells like a campfire or has a gin stain on it, we probably can’t take it back.
  • Proof of Purchase: Keep your digital receipt or packing slip; we’ll need it to process the return.
  • Shipping Costs: Unless we sent you the wrong item or it arrived damaged, you are responsible for the return shipping costs.

Damaged or Wrong Items

If your order arrives and it looks like it went three rounds with Chuck Norris, we’ll make it right.

  1. Take a photo of the damaged item and the packaging.
  2. Email the photos and your order number to [Insert Email] within 48 hours.
  3. We will send out a replacement faster than you can say "Martini, extra dry."

How Refunds Work

Once we receive and inspect your returned merchandise:

  • We will notify you via email if your refund is approved.
  • Approved refunds are processed back to your original payment method within 5–10 business days.
  • Note: We cannot issue cash refunds for online purchases.
